Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

MBSR Program

Mindfulness based stress reduction is a structured educational group program focussing on the development of mindfulness skills. It was developed by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre. It involves eight 2.5 hour sessions and an all day class. Each class consists of theory and practical components, including gentle movement practices, mindfulness meditation and practical strategies for managing stress. It has been widely researched over 25 years.
